Leedy/Ludwig Trap Kit 1943-1944
Excellent condition trap kit with a unique history
26” Leedy Dreadnaught
The bass drum is a 26” Leedy Dreadnaught stamped 43-6, build with time correct wood lugs per war time rationing standards. As with many Leedy of the era, this drum is outfitted with wooded paddle clamps to accommodate spurs and pedals. The Leedy Trap Rail (which can be seen in 1941 catalogs) was likely added at the shop the drums where purchased from, as Leedy was unable to produce these due to the war rationing of 1943.
13” Ludwig Tacked Tom
Made with imperial lugs and a tacked bottom head. Dated 1944
- Kit was purchased TOGETHER at the same time as far as we are aware.
- Cigarette burns on BD from owner playing clubs
- Comes with extra wooden paddles and a 15” antique “Chee-Foo” chinese cymbal
