VINTAGE 1970's Ludwig Psychedelic Red Double Bass Outfit

• Sizes: 14x20 bass drum (x2), 9x13 tom (x2), 10x14 tom, 16x18 floor tom.

• Details & Notes: This is a very unique Ludwig double bass outfit in an excellent example of Psychedelic Red. Though the sizes are unorthodox, the kit plays very well and tonally makes sense for a player who wants low, thunderous toms, and quick and responsive bass drums. The unique sizes of this kit consist of two 14x20 bass drums, two 9x13 toms, a 10x14 tom, and a 16x18 floor tom. All toms are equipped with working internal mufflers. Both bass drums are outfitted with Ludwig rocker bass drum plates and double tom holders. One rocker bass drum plate tension nut has been replaced with a slotted flat head screw. All hardware on the drums seem to be in good shape regarding the chrome and good shape regarding functionality, though two of the tensioning nuts prefer to be adjusted by a wrench instead of the standard Ludwig nut key, as one is slightly large and one is slightly smaller than that era of key can fit. The Psychedelic Red finish is largely in excellent condition, though one rack tom has a minor split by the badge. One 13" is slightly brighter in hue. All drums are 3-ply clear maple with reinforcement rings.
