Only 100 sets were ever produced, this being #21 of 100. These drums were made from maple 600+ year old logs salvaged from the bottom of Lake Superior. This unique climate has cleansed the wood of sap and impurities due to the icy temperatures and lack of oxygen present at the lakes depths. Estimated origin of the logs comes from trees dated to 1460, lumbered in 1871, and salvaged in 1998. The set is unique as it was built with an additional 18x20 bass drum to compliment the 18x22. Drums are signed by John Good and include dating and numbering. Drums feature satin chrome hardware. All toms are suspended toms. With the sizes of the set, and the floor toms being suspended toms, players have the option to make this one set into several configurations such as a traditional double bass set, or a standard two up two down configuration using the second bass drum as a remote bass drum. The drums are in remarkable condition with minimal scratching to the chrome hardware, though some is present as expected. The 20\" bass drum does have a minor blemish on the front hoop, that less than pea sized.
