VINTAGE 1960's Slingerland 4x14 Solid Shell Snare Drum in Peacock Pearl

• Vintage Snare Drum.

• Size: 4x14. 

• Details & Notes: A very interesting drum to say the least. This drum started as a NOS Niles Era Slingerland 4x14 Solid Shell. Bearing edges were cut by Slingerland, but the snare beds and holes were not done by Slingerland. The drum is outfitted with 40's nickel single flanged hoops, and a late 20's-early 30's Duplex strainer with cable snares. Tube lugs are modern, as are the tension rods and hoop clips. The drum prefers mid to low tuning, and has can only tension to slightly above a medium tuning due to the lug size blocking the head. Peacock pearl is not original, and is a reissue of the color.
