VINTAGE 1960s Slingerland Gene Krupa Outfit in White Marine Pearl

• Sizes: 14x20 bass drum, 9x13 tom, 16x16 floor tom, 5x14 snare. 

• Details & Notes: This is a fantastic set in Slingerland's famous "Gene Krupa" outfit. The set consists of a 14x20 bass drum, a 9x13 tom and a 16x16 floor tom. The snare drum is a solid shell with Slingerland's "clamshell" throw-off. The snare is very white for its age and is in excellent shape, though one snare wire on the snare strand is missing and two wires have lost some of their former tension. With that said, once the snares are engaged, the drum plays beautifully. The 9x13 tom and bass drum are decently white, but the floor tom has yellowed in comparison, though the set looks very natural regardless. Internal mufflers work effortlessly, and the rail mount holds true. The push button floor tom legs have had the push buttons replaced by a hardware store substitute, however they look at home on the drum and function just fine. The bass drum cymbal mount has a bit of trouble staying up and the wing nut on the mount is slightly bent. Original calf heads are still in place on the 9x13 tom and bass drum batter head. This set comes with a Slingerland hi-hat pedal, bass drum pedal, snare stand, and one cymbal stand.
