VINTAGE 1938-39 WFL 5x14 "The Ideal" Model Metal Shell Nickel over Brass Snare Drum

• Details & Notes: A not so common look into the history past of Ludwig and WFL drums. "The Ideal" model snare drum consisted of a nickel over brass shell with six tube lugs and a uncommon but original WFL strainer. The drum would have originally sported claw hoops and single flanged hoops, but those have been lost to time. The drum instead has what appears to be 60's era Ludwig hoops. Two of the tube lugs are unoriginal chrome reproductions that lug identical. The throw off design doesn't support hard playing, but the drum is fully functional and sounds terrific. The rare aluminum WFL badge is featured on the drum.
