NEW Bosphorus 12" Large Bell "Sock Cymbal" Style Hi-Hats w/ Eight Rivets

• Brand New Cymbal. This lovely 12" hi-hat is a unique one-off specially created for us by the brilliant masters at Bosphorus to evoke the sound of historic cymbals of the past. This pair of hi hats is made to capture the look, feel, and sound of "Low Boy" or "Sock Cymbal" hi-hats of the past. Many of these historic cymbals featured wide round cups, had heavier weights, and are often found with extreme patina. As such this recreation features unlathed surfaces, similar large bells, and medium weights to achieve that classic time keeper "chick". These cymbals however do not need to be played on the floor like their forefathers would have been. They make for a great old timey set of primary hats, an exotic alternative hat due to the playable bell, or can be split up and used as two effect bells. The cymbals can easy be flipped due to the nearly matched top and bottom weights. The top hi-hat is drilled for eight rivets to provide a bit of sizzle support while the hats are being played open.
