NEW Gretsch Broadkaster Drum Set in Satin Dark Walnut

• Details & Notes: Classic in every way. Gretsch drums have been a long standing favorite of both players and producers spanning across many genres and decades. This outfit features a classic 22, 13, 16 size configuration, a highly versatile setup that is reinforced by the renown and legacy of these shells. The Gretsch Broadkaster pays homage to Gretsch drums of the 40's and 50's with a 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple shell that features reverse round over bearing edges for greater contact between the bearing edge and drum head to produce a deep, warm, punchy tone. In true Gretsch tradition, each drum is finished with legendary "Silver Sealer" on the shells interior. We opted to order the 13" tom with die cast hoops for added attack, as we have found that die cast hoops seem to further emphasize the tonal qualities of Broadkaster tom toms. The 16" tom was ordered in a standard build with standard Gretsch 302 Hoops to let the drum have a little extra openness. The combination results in very well balanced toms that sing in harmony. We do understand however that not every drummer will want die cast hoops on the 13" and will be happy to switch the hoops out for 302" hoops. The set is outfitted with Gretsch "Permatone" drumheads, which are Remo Ambassadors. Finished in a luxurious Satin Dark Walnut hand rubbed matte finish.
