VINTAGE 1960's Ludwig Super Classic Outfit in Gold Sparkle w/ Jazzfest

• Details & Notes: Beautiful and elegant with unfaded gold sparkle shining on top of classic 3-ply Ludwig shells. This 60's Super Classic outfit is the real deal. If there was ever a drum set that was well cared for, this is it! The hardware is in tip top shape, as is the wrap quality. Shells and edges are perfect and ready to go, and everything is accurate and original original down the the snare wires! (With the exception of modern heads of course). Typically with a kit in such great shape one is inclined to ask "was it even played?". Yes, and lovingly. Small indications of affection can be spotted when looking close enough on the bass drum hoops, loving signs of play on the tom rims, heads that bear a dark center from ample play. Pedal rash on the bass drum hoop from generations of pedals used under one foot. The combination of clean care and signs of life is what makes us smile most, let us know that a kit was not just revered, but was loved. The kit features 3ply shells, all of which are mahogany except for the floor tom which is clear maple, likely made right at the time of Ludwig's switch to maple. The tom tom and snare both have white interiors while the bass drum and floor do not. Bass drum is a pre-serial badge, the tom tom has a serial of 372551, the floor tom has a serial of 714586, and the snare has a serial of 163503.
