VINTAGE 1890-1910 Antique Prussian Infantry Style 2x14 Snare Drum 

• Vintage Snare Drum.

• Size: 2x14 (Approximately). 

• Details & Notes: A very interesting 1890-1910 era aluminum shell snare drum built in the manor of Prussian infantry snare drums. No maker's mark, but the drum is likely a Duplex. The drum bears metal plated wood hoops, and single tension rods and claws, with thick square heads. Ornamental snare strainer thumb rod. Top head is in good shape, but the bottom head is torn and will need a new head made. Unfortunately since drum predates uniform shell and head sizes, no modern heads fit this drum. Wound gut snares are in good condition. Beautiful sticks that are likely Rosewood, and a cloth bag are included.
