VINTAGE 1925-1935 Ludwig 6.5x14 Nickel over Brass Super Ludwig Snare Drum

• Vintage Snare Drum. 

• Size: 6.5x14.

• Details & Notes: An excellent and absolutely cared for Super Ludwig. Mild patina has been left alone for that authentic old school look, but over all the drum is very clean. Ten lugs on a classic two piece shell design. Snare mechanisms are in excellent condition and work flawlessly. Original snare wires and all pins are present. Engraved "Super Ludwig" bottom hoop and "Ludwig" engraved shell. All parts seem original with the exception of the internal muffler which has been replaced. There is mild depression under a few of the lugs, which is common for such a thin metal shell that is nearly a hundred years old. One bolt on the snare guard is smaller than the other, likely as a replacement bolt done many many years ago. Clear and dynamic sound with plenty of nuance.
