VINTAGE 1966 Ludwig Black Oyster Drum Set

• Vintage Drum Set.

• Sizes: 14x20 bass drum, 9x13 tom, 16x16 floor tom. 

• Details & Notes: A "Almost Ringo" players Black Oyster with a 20" bass drum. Over all this kit is in good shape for the age and passes  at the upper end of players grade given how desired this iconic finish is. The drum set does have some anomalies, such as evidence that the shell interiors where painted white at home (as the white is a little too cream colored, some paint shows running, and the internal hardware was separately painted as well in the same shade). Despite this, the shells are in good condition and tune fine. The batter bass drum hoop was lost at some point and has been replaced with a metal hoop. Many of the bass drum claws and tension rods are unoriginal, and holes from the rail consollete and bass drum cymbal mount have been plugged with bolts, as those pieces where removed to make room for a Rocker double tom mount which is included with the set. Despite any oddities, this is a still a super cool kit, or restoration project for Ludwig and Ringo fans.
