VINTAGE 1979 Slingerland "Powerplay" Cutaway Concert Tom Kit in Cobalt Blue

• Sizes: 14x24 bass drum, 13, 14, 15, and 16 inch cutaway toms, 16x18 floor tom.

• Details & Notes: A wonderful example of old school rock n' roll drums. This Slingerland "powerplay" Cutaway concert tom kit in a lovely Cobalt Blue has all you need to set your classic rock heart on fire. Large sizes enhance the already massive sound produced by these toms, designed to explode with ample attack and projection in arenas. The wrap is in over all good condition with expected cosmetic where such as some splits and scuffs from years of use. There is also expected scuffing on the inside of the tom shells from nesting the drums during travel, as this was common practice due to the open resonant ends. Scuffing inside the floor tom and the presence of an unoriginal resonant hope (Premier) shows that the floor tom was used as a concert drum as well. The bass drum however has a nice interior with some beautiful birdseye showing in the shell. The 13" and 14" toms use Slingerland mounting clips with a Slingerland concert stand, however the 15" and 16" tom were drilled for Ludwig clips and use a Ludwig stand. The top portion of the stand is a Hercules model with the base being an Atlas base.
