VINTAGE 1953-1956 K. Zildjian Istanbul 14" Old Stamp Type IIIa Hi-Hat Cymbals

• Vintage Cymbal. Without a doubt some of the best K. Istanbul hi-hats we have laid a stick on, with that true be-bop sound. Paper thin top with a thin bottom. The cymbals have an excellent balance of stick definition and wash when played open. Dark, complex, moderately trashy. Both cymbals have the Zildjian paper tag still present, though both are weathered. The top cymbal has what eight rivet holes which are assumed to be factory. Both cymbals have some minor flea biting, which is almost guaranteed to be seen on K's of this age. None of the flea bites pose any danger to the cymbal. The top cymbal has an incredibly small edge crack, which shows no sign of spreading, and the bottom cymbal has an even smaller hairline crack at the center hole, which is not spreading either. Cracks of this status are also assumed to be standard for K's of this age and are factored into the considered value of the cymbals. Audio available upon request.
