VINTAGE 1960's Sonor Teardrop Drum Set in White Marine

• Vintage Drum Set. 

• Sizes: 14x20 bass drum, 8x12 tom, 9x13, tom, 16x16 floor tom. 

• Details & Notes: A super cool example of old school Sonor in a moderate player's condition.  All toms features original wrap, and original top and bottom heads. The bass drum is a rewrap (with the exception of the bottom panel of the bass drum) and features a slightly different pearl pattern, though it looks very at home with the toms. The bass drum has an original Sonor logo head. These drums have a natural punchy sound when tuned low and a nice dry attack when tuned higher into be-bop ranges. The set has some finicky aspects worth noting - The 12" rack tom seems to be an add on as the badge, muffler, and hoops are slightly later in date. The 12" tom also has trouble attaching to the double tom post when right side up. When the drum is attached upside down, it accepts the post with ease and can then be turned to proper position. The bass drum, being a rewrap, does not match the pearl pattern of the other drums exactly, and has a bit of wrap damage on the resonant side by the bearing edge. The bass drum legs are fully retractable, but need a bit of encouragement to adjust.  The floor toms has some minor wrap splitting near a few lugs, but nothing too serious. Over all this is a super enjoyable kit to play, with a wonderful tone. Despite the quirks of these funky German drums, we can't emphasis enough how much fun they are as a player.
