Originally introduced in 1963 as a student model snare drum, the Ludwig was quick to become the choice drum of professionals due to its dry and studio friendly brushed hammered aluminum shell. The hammered shell ads a subtle touch of extra dryness and complexity to the tone. All Ludwig 6.5x14 Acrolite snare drums are complete with a seamless, beaded, brushed aluminum shell, 10 twin lugs, P85 throw-off, and a Blue & Olive badge.
