Details & Notes: A stunning Pre-Collector's Series DW dream in stealthy matte satin ebony with black chrome hardware. These drums are a born together kit dating 99'-00' depending on the shell. The kit consist of a standard 18x22 bass drum, two 8x12 toms for melodic playing, a 9x12 tom, and suspended 12x14 and 14x16 "floor" toms. A matching 5.5x14 snare drum is included to complete the ensemble. All drums are Pre-Collector's shells with re-rings and era accurate DW hardware. The one exception to the shell hardware is the DW "MAG" throw-off in black chrome, which would have seen inception at a later date. The original throw-off is included with the sale of this kit, as are two extra bass drum spurs, four extra 10" tom hoops, one 12" tom hoop, two 16" tom hoops, and a set of 14" snare hoops. The shell interiors are in incredible shape, and have been well cared for. Edges are in great condition. The drum exteriors are in good shape for the age of these drums, but do show their wear as they were used as a studio kit in LA for many years. There are multiple surface scratches present to the finish of the kit, primary in the form of tom rash facing the player. There is also a bit of wear to the black chrome hardware, as is all too typical with this hardware finish. These blemishes are purely cosmetic, and in light of the rest of the kit are a small price for such a stunning and original set. Heads are modern Evans which do show stick marks from in store demoing, but are in great shape. All hardware is fully functional. No mounting hardware is included with this sale, and is for photographing purposes only.
