• Details & Notes: The original head turner! A sonic and innovative inspiration way ahead of it's time. Fresh from 1919, this is the cleanest example of a 2-Piece 4x14 Dance Model we have seen. Later equipped with 8 lugs, the original 6 lug model features a Ludwig engraved hoop rather than the embossed shell. Fully functional, and completely original with the exception of later Ludwig snares to replace the long gone cable/gut snares. The legendary shell features the iconic heavy 2-piece design that is welded at the bead with large bearing edges that are bent back and welded in for the terrific and iconic tone this drum produces.
