VINTAGE 1930's K. Zildjian Constantinople 16" Ride Cymbal w/ Six Rivets
- Vintage Cymbal. This is a rare find, not because it is "an Old K", but rather because it is a Constantinople era K that is in extraordinary shape and fully functional in a modern setting. Most of the Constantinople K's we see have severe cracking, an array of fleabites, or simply were too heavy. This is largely due to these old cymbals primarily having been designed for symphony purpose as either hand crashes or suspended cymbals. This K shows build traits of what is more commonly seen in early Old Stamp Type I and Type II K's. Slight hook on the edge, very fine lathing, and a low wide bell. There are no cracks or structural issues, and the signature under the bell is still faintly visible. The cymbal is low pitched for a 16", has a warm crash, and is supported by six rivets. Woody and classic K sounding bell.
- 1232g.
