Details & Notes: Very good condition Gretsch Name Band Model 5.5x14 snare drum in the rare sparkling Peacock Sparkle finish. This is a three ply drum with silver sealer, and no paper tag per the factory as paper tags were not standard until 1962. This drum is estimated to have been built between 1954 and 1957 given the ply configuration as three ply was standard for Gretsch up until 1957, and the presence of Silver Sealer which was introduced in 1954. The drum features all original hardware that is in good functioning order. The hoops are die-cast straight hoops, as was standard on Gretsch drums in the 50's. Original snare wires are present and in good shape. As is typical with Peacock Sparkle, this drum has faded into a beautiful gold-silver.
