VINTAGE 1960's MIJ Murayamd Drums Ludwig Copy in Faded Silver Sparkle

• Vintage Drum Set.

• Sizes: 14x22 bass drum, 9x13 tom, 16x16 floor tom.

• Details & Notes: A very interesting find, and discussion piece. From afar these drums look like Ludwig, but are actually made in Japan copies, using slightly different cast lugs shaped similar to Ludwig's Classic lug. The bass drum uses true Ludwig lugs. All features of the set appear to be original and of the same age (likely 60's). All shells are Japanese mahogany it appears but are built with surprising quality for an MIJ set. The badge is only present on the 13" tom, and it is unclear if the other drums had badges at any point or not. The drums sound fantastic and tune well, and all hardware seems functional in our tests. The drums also have an interesting and very innovative take on tone control, using a key to adjust the tone control rather than a hand knob.
