VINTAGE 1970's Slingerland 4x14 Solid Shell Refinish in Peacock Pearl

• Vintage Snare Drum.

• Size: 4x14. 

• Details & Notes: An oddball, but a cool one to be sure. This drum started as a new old stock 4x14 Slingerland Solid Shell that was undrilled. Outfitted with eight tube lugs, no-flange hoops, and a super cool Duplex throw, and finally wrapped in Peacock Pearl. This drum has plenty of old school character and mojo. Due to the tube lug hole spacing, the heads don't have a wide tuning range before being stopped by the lugs, butt can achieve a nice tight snappy tone. The drum does however prefer a medium swampy tuning. The Duplex throw has a bit of issue staying up, so we have it fastened down with the snare string. Grover wires installed for a nice drive snare tone.
