Currently the drummer for the legendary band Chicago, Walfredo Reyes, Jr. has toured and recorded with such musical giants as Carlos Santana, Steve Winwood, Jackson Browne, Gloria Estefan, Smokey Robinson, and many more. Bearing stories, signatures, hand-written notes, and other personal touches, this collection includes beloved gifts and essential tools Wally employed to share his massive musical gifts with the world.
Details & Notes: DW Collectors Cherry/Mahogany in an intensely beautiful Natural Lacquer over Mahogany Gloss, built by DW for Walfredo Reyes Jr, drummer for Chicago, to his specifications. This kit is a cherished piece of Wally's personal gear arsenal, designed with the purpose of being his recording kit for the studio. This incredible kits has been babied, and is in almost new appearing condition despite its use. Minor signs of appropriate use are present including stick marks and the most minor signs of wear any drum set will receive through use. A few of the DW memory locks are numbered for easy set up. The kit utilizes DW's unique 23" diameter bass drum which sonically covers both the sound of a 22" and 24". Classic tom sizes of 10",12",13",14",16" allow for full melodic playing, and sit in a tuning range that makes this drum set a true work horse that can tackle any style of music. The set comes with a matching DW Collectors 6.5x14 Cherry/Mahogany snare drum in a matching finish. All hardware is in pristine condition, as are the drum shells.
